Under the ownership of Travis Clark and Rod Harvey, the West Parrish Barber Shop is approaching 10 years in operation. The full-service barbershop boasts a traditional feel and over 30 years of combined experience.

Clark and Harvey attended barber school together and worked at several different shops before deciding to venture out on their own in 2013. They added Trece Fulks to the shop in 2018 to offer three chairs with less wait time.

“We’re a walk-in barbershop that offers everything in the men’s world for barbering,” Clark said. “We have several loyal customers, and we’re picking up new ones every week.”

Clark said they take pride in remaining a walk-in shop, even after the pandemic. He considers themselves fortunate to maintain their regular customers following the government-mandated shutdown.

“We’re grateful for the support we’ve had over the years, especially during the pandemic,” he said. “To express our gratitude, we didn’t raise our prices when we returned, as some others did. That was one way we could give back.”

Clark and company are excited to see new businesses venture out to the west side and hope to maintain their footprint on Parrish Avenue. The barbershop is located at 2427 West Parrish Avenue next to Ace Hardware.

“Traffic has doubled on Parrish since we moved in, and within the past few years, we’ve had several new businesses come this way,” Clark said.

West Parrish Barber Shop offers haircuts, beard trims, goatee grooming, and hot lather shaves. They accept cash or check. For more information, visit their Facebook here.
