Jeff Esposito has been named the next general manager of the Owensboro Convention Center and Owensboro Sportscenter, effective May 25. He replaces Laura Alexander, who recently took a new venue management position in Lexington.
“I’m beyond excited to join the incredible team at the Owensboro Convention Center and to work with local stakeholders to serve this vibrant community,” Esposito said.
OVG360 (formerly Spectra), provider of venue management to the Convention Center and Sportscenter, made the announcement Thursday.
Esposito recently served as the executive director of the CAM-PLEX Multi-Event Facilities in Gillette, Wyoming. According to OVG360, Esposito’s accomplishments while there included modernizing the policies, procedures, and operations of the multi-use facility to current industry standards.
Esposito’s prior experience includes serving as the co-manager at Walmart Stores and as general manager of the Bayfront Convention Center — both in Erie, Pennsylvania.
