After operating her business from a bright blue 1965 Ford F-100 for the last year, Meagan Cooley is taking her fresh flowers to the Old Town Shopping Center at 113 E. 18th Street. The storefront Meadow House Flowers + Gifts opens today.

Visitors to the shop will find some of the same offerings that Cooley had on the flower truck — namely, a fresh flower bar and pre-made bouquets.

“The truck was such a fun way to meet new people and engage with the community, but I ultimately wanted something more permanent and reliable,” Cooley said. “Now our customers won’t have to wonder where we’ll be at any given time. Also, creating a warm and welcoming space is important to me and I think the shop will allow for that much more than just the truck.”

Customers can shop the flower bar and pick out their favorite stems to build their own bouquet, just like at the truck, but Cooley also be offering dried flowers, house plants, vases, pots, candles, paper goods, and more.

Cooley said she wants to provide easy gift options for anyone who wants to spread love or encouragement to someone else — be that through flowers or goods.

In addition to the flowers and goods offered in store, Cooley will also offer floral design services for weddings and special events, as well as flower delivery.

“Come visit Meadow House to experience the peaceful joy of flowers and plants, discover unique gifts, and find just the right thing to spread love and encouragement to those around you,” she said.

The store will be open weekly from Wednesday-Saturday.
