Scooter’s Coffee — a national drive-thru coffee franchise — is planning to open two locations in Owensboro and one in Henderson within the next two years. The first Owensboro location is scheduled to open Oct. 31, 2022, on East Parrish Avenue across from The Springs Health Centre.
The Scooter’s menu includes an array of specialty espresso beverages, single-origin coffee, fruit smoothies, Red Bull Infusions, Cold Brew, baked-from-scratch pastries, and breakfast options. For more about their menu or business, click here.
The address of the first location is 2085 East Parrish, between the strip center that houses McAlister’s Deli and the connected lots containing Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Shogun Bistro.
The building will be a “standalone, drive-thru only kiosk” according to a Scooter’s spokesperson. Construction is expected to begin on Aug. 20.
According to a building permit issued July 29, the building will only be 747.5 square feet. The construction cost is $463,091, and Envision Contractors, LLC is listed as the primary contractor.
The second Owensboro location and the one in Henderson have yet to be determined, “but should begin construction within the next two years after locations are finalized,” according to the spokesperson.
Founded in 1998 by Don and Linda Eckles in Bellevue, Nebraska, Scooter’s Coffee roasts coffee beans at its headquarters in Omaha. The Scooter’s Coffee Brand Promise is “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast!”
Scooter’s Coffee has nearly 300 stores operating across 17 states and commitments to open stores in 24 states.
