A building permit was recently issued to construct a new Dollar General in Maceo, and it will be the company’s 17th location in Daviess County. At this time, a timeline for construction and opening are unknown.
According to the permit the 10,640-square-foot store will be built at 8825 KY 2830, which is between Sacra Drive and Aubrey Road.
The permit was issued to Susan Cox Development, which bought two parcels of land at that address for $160,000 from Daniel Wilhoyte.
Officials with the development company did not respond to multiple requests for more information.
Cox also owns two other local Dollar General stores, located at 1653 East Parrish Avenue and 4471 Springhill Drive.
