First United Bank and Trust Co. is opening a second Owensboro location. Their newest banking center is located at 2800 Frederica Street in Wesleyan Park Plaza and will be open for business beginning October 5.

First United Bank originally expanded to the Owensboro market in March 2021 with their first location at 3012 West Parrish Ave.

“In March of 2021, First United Bank and Trust brought community banking back to Daviess County,” said Scott Tooley, Daviess County Market President. “Hometown people providing exceptional service is our commitment to each community we serve. As we continue to expand our footprint in Western Kentucky, First United Bank and Trust Co. is excited to open our second location in Owensboro, right in the heart of town.”

First United was formed in 1996 and now has assets of $500 million with locations in Madisonville, Beaver Dam, Earlington, Marion, and Owensboro.

“I am very proud of the entire Daviess County team we have been able to assemble, and we look forward to serving the financial needs of the Owensboro-Daviess County community,” Tooley said.

The bank will be open Monday through Friday. For more information on products and services, visit efirstunitedbank.com

The Frederica Street building First United took over was formerly home to BB&T and is located next to McDonald’s. BB&T closed that location permanently in April 2021.

Similarly, the First United building on West Parrish Avenue was formerly an Old National Bank branch. Old National shut down that branch in April 2020.
