Tony Lane and company opened Fast Lane Auto Repair on Triplet Street nearly 8 years ago, and after exponential growth and success they’re ready for a second location. Lane purchased the former Shelby Wheel and Tire building on Breckinridge Street and hopes to open the shop by mid-January.

When Lane opened the first location at 2121 Triplett Street, there were three employees and only six bays. After a remodel and expansion, Fast Lane doubled to 12 bays and is inching towards 25 employees.

Fast Lane is the only Napa Gold auto center in Owensboro, priding itself on quality work, excellent customer service, digital inspections, and more. The new shop at 1709 Breckinridge Street provides them with an additional 12 to 14 bays to satisfy the growing demand for services and repairs.

“We just couldn’t keep up with our demand; our lot is always full,” Lane said. “We wanted to purchase more space around our shop, but it wasn’t feasible, so this made the most sense.”

In addition to offering more space, the second facility will specialize in import, diesel, and fleet vehicles.

“We have new signage and new lifts we’re installing soon. We thought it would be after January, but we could be in as early as mid-December,” he said. “We’ve hired technicians, and they’re working at our Triplett location until we finish the remodel.”

Lane added, “We have one of the best crews in town; they all have dealership backgrounds.”

A quick Google search shows that Fast Lane is beloved by many. With more than 600 reviews, they boast a 4.9 rating.

“Word of mouth has been our best marketing plan. There are times where we can’t get cars in for three to four weeks,” Lane said. “We want to offer dealership quality service without the large price tag.”

Fast Lane will soon begin its annual bicycle project, where they collect or purchase bicycles for every kid in the local Christmas Wish program. Lane is adamant that every kid who asks for a bike receives one.
