Cody Stewart and business partner Josh Turner recently opened Southern Charm Remodeling. The new company specializes in full-service remodeling, primarily focusing on single-family homes and dwellings.
Interior services include kitchen and bathroom remodeling, flooring, painting, and more. The two also offer exterior services such as siding, roof repair, and deck building.
Stewart spent most of his professional career at Don Moore, flipping houses on the side. Frustrated with contractors and with limited time to conduct the work independently, he decided to create Southern Charm.
“I was flipping homes on the side and wasn’t having great luck with contractors,” Stewart said. “I had some success and knew I wanted to venture out on my own.”
Stewart said he’s always liked homes and remodeling and considers himself a self-taught “handyman” with several years of experience. He said he knows others have had their share of struggles with contractors and is empathetic to both sides.
“I know what it’s like on the other side, and I want to help others battling similar issues,” he said. “It’s nice to pay it back. I met many people while working at Don Moore, and they’ve all been reaching out. It feels good to help people out. “
Turner’s dad and brother are also on the staff, and together, the four boast several decades of experience in the industry.
