Located in Owensboro, Specialty Foods Group, LLC will be bought by Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) in an announcement made today by IPC. IPC is a fully integrated pork processor located in Delphi, Indiana. The sale will close by the third quarter of 2018.
Specialty Foods Group, LLC (SFG) is widely recognized as the distributor and marketer of KENTUCKY LEGEND boneless ham. SFG is an independent producer and marketer of premium branded and private-label processed meats in the US. SFG sells ham, turkey, hot dogs, bacon, luncheon meats and more.
Michael Bieger, President and CEO of SFG, believes the two companies will make a great partnership moving forward as “Their position in the marketplace in the manufacture and distribution of fresh pork products integrates perfectly with our product lines of processed meats.”
