Bevin appoints Randolph to Human Rights Commission

On Oct. 11, Gov. Matt Bevin made the following appointments to the Commission on Human Rights: Adam Futrell, Alma L. Randolph, Jerry E. Cowherd, Vincent “Kelly” Cummins, Debbie A. Cole, Rebecca Cuzick, Tommy Bailey, Luis D. Fuentes, Kem Delaney-Ellis, Garnetta Smith, and Yvette Goodwin Jamison.

Alma L. Randolph, of Owensboro, is a consultant with Higher Ground Consulting. She will represent the 2nd Supreme Court District and serve for a term expiring Sept. 12, 2021.

The Commission on Human Rights receives, initiates, investigates, conciliates and rules upon jurisdictional complaints alleging violations of the Kentucky Civil Rights Act.

Certified with substantial equivalency to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Commission also enforces the policies set forth in The U.S. Civil Rights Act, The U.S. Fair Housing Act, The U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act and other federal civil rights laws.
