UPDATE: According to McAlister’s Deli corporate office the opening forecast date for the Owensboro location on Highway 54 is set for April 8, 2019.
Key Construction out of Evansville, Ind. is in charge of the constructing the five-unit building, with McAlister’s Deli taking one unit. Key Construction confirmed an early spring opening, depending on the winter weather and said there was considerable earthwork to be done which led to delays.
McAlister’s Deli corporate office has confirmed that they are building a McAlister’s Deli in Owensboro at 2065 E. Parrish Avenue. This will be one of over 400 McAlister’s restaurants in 28 states.
According to McAlister’s Deli, they offer “a unique menu with sandwiches, salads, spuds and a heaping spoonful of southern hospitality.”
Known for their “great food, large portions, wide variety, and a welcoming environment,” McAlister’s plans to open on Dec. 24, 2018.
