Overnight shooting in Utica

According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the Owensboro Health Regional Health Emergency Room (ER) at 3:40 a.m. on Dec. 3 in reference to a male subject that walked into the ER with a gunshot wound.

It was determined that 36-year-old Jeremy M. Hartz sustained a gunshot wound during a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend, Ashley E Tapp, 44, at their residence located in the 10000 block of Mill Street in Utica.

Hartz, who was grazed with a 20-gauge Birdshot, was admitted to the hospital.

Detectives are investigating the incident. No one has been charged at this time.
