Puzzle Pieces Executive Director Amanda Owen took to Facebook Tuesday after a van used to transport clients was stolen.

According to Owen, the van is a tan 1994 Nissan Quest and has a faint Greenwell Chisholm logo on the side door.

“Greenwell Chisholm graciously donated it to us a year ago for our staff to use to transport a group of clients to places in community to work on skills and volunteer,” Owen said.

The van was stolen from Center Piece, an adult day training program that is an extension to Puzzle Pieces, which is located behind Towne Square Mall on Back Square Drive.

“It’s an older van not a prime jewel, but it did the trick for us,” Owen said.

The van is only used during hours of operation, Owens said, and remains parked in the Center Piece parking lot overnight and on weekends.

“We just had the van worked on and returned to us on Friday,” Owen said. “We still even have the keys!”

Owen filed a police report with Owensboro Police Department Tuesday morning.

According Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess, tips regarding the stolen van can be called into dispatch at 270-687-8888 or anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 270-687-8484.
