Developing: According to Owensboro Fire Department’s Facebook page, firefighters were working two structure fires within minutes of each other at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
The fire on 21st. Street is contained and under control, according to the OPD page, and the residential structure fire in the 2000 block of Sunset Drive is also under control.
The following assisted at Sunset Drive: E5, E3, E1, L5, R1, F95, F98.
For the 21st Street fire, the following assisted: E4, E2, Q2, L1, F97.
Owensboro Daviess County EMS and Owensboro Police Department assisted at both.
Atmos and Owensboro Municipal Utilities have been called to Sunset Drive and OFD expects the 2000 block of Sunset Drive to be closed for another hour.
