Owensboro Police Department will host Coffee with a Cop on Wednesday morning, where the public is invited to join OPD officers for breakfast. Residents who attend can hang out, discuss their thoughts or concerns or simply get to know local police officers in a casual setting.

Coffee with a Cop will take place at McDonald’s, located at 2750 Frederica Street from 8-10 a.m. OPD welcomes anyone from the public to attend.

“No agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers in your neighborhood,” OPD says.

OPD Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess said this event serves to bring the community and law enforcement together. OPD hosts this event several times a year so that residents are given several opportunities to attend.

Boggess will coordinate the event and can be reached at 270-687-8867.
