The Morton J. Holbrook Judicial Center will be closed for business on Tuesday.

Daviess Circuit Court Chief Judge Jay Wethington signed a general order on Nov. 22 after Governor-elect Andy Beshear declared Tuesday as a state holiday to celebrate the gubernatorial inauguration.

The Administrative Office of the Courts will be closed for Inauguration Day. Courts had the option to remain open at the discretion of chief circuit and chief district judges. Circuit court clerks determine whether their Office of Circuit Court Clerk will be open that day.

Traditionally, the Judicial Branch will join the Executive Branch in closing for business to observe the gubernatorial inauguration, but is not required.
