Registration open for 2020 fall adult kickball, softball leagues

The Owensboro Parks & Recreation Department is currently taking registrations for the 2020 fall adult kickball and adult softball leagues competing at Kentucky Legend Fields at Jack C. Fisher Park. 

The Coed Adult Kickball League, will begin Aug. 31 and games will be played on Monday and Wednesday nights. Eight regular season games or a round robin will be played depending on registration. A single-elimination tournament will be played to complete the season.

Registration of $250 per team must be submitted by Aug. 7. Late registration will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Aug. 10 with a late entry fee of $50. Team fees include umpire wages as well as 12 season and 12 tournament champion shirts.

The adult softball leagues begin Aug. 24 and games will be played Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday nights. Eight regular season games or a round robin will be played depending on registration. A single-elimination tournament will be played to complete the season.

League divisions include men’s and coed intermediate, and coed recreational. Registration must be submitted by Monday. Team registration fee is $460 for coed recreational, and $360 for men’s and coed intermediate. Late registration will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Aug. 5 with a late entry fee of $50. Team fees include sanction dues, umpire wages, and 15 season and 15 tournament champion shirts in each division. 

Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A team’s spot will not be held until the team fee has been received. 

The minimum age to play in any of the leagues mentioned above is 16 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 must have parental consent.
