The Daviess County Public Library will be gifting three local families in need with a Thanksgiving meal from Moonlite Bar-B-Q Inn.
“This year has been exceptionally hard for so many families in our community,” says Tiffani Henry, Public Relations Coordinator. “We wanted to do something that would help to make the holidays a little brighter, and providing a Thanksgiving meal to a family in need seemed like a great place to start.”
The Library will be accepting recommendations from the community to help identify families in need. To recommend a family, email Tiffani Henry at [email protected]. Nominations will be accepted until Wednesday.
“We ask that you tell us a little about the family, and a good way to contact them if selected,” Henry said. “We are asking you to submit via email, as this is a sensitive topic and we do not want anyone to feel like they have been put on the spot.”
Winners will receive a “Thanksgiving Family Pack” from Moonlite that will feed six to eight people.
The winners will be contacted Thursday and must place their order with Moonlite by Nov. 22. Orders will be ready for pick up on Nov. 25.
