The Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club recently received 5,500 pairs of unused Under Armour shoes sizes 5-14, and they are already being distributed to the community.

While the shoes are all technically made for girls/women, they could be worn by boys/men because of the colors, said Cliff Hagan Chief Operating Officer Ryan Bibb. Shoes are available in blue, red, bright orange, and grey.

According Bibb, Under Armour contacted the Boys & Girls Clubs of America wanting to donate the shoes. The national organization then sent the shoes to the Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club.

While the local chapter is now in the process of distributing to all its service locations, the Club is also providing the opportunity for youth-serving nonprofits in Owensboro to pick up shoes for their clients.

“It’s not just about us here at our Club,” Bibb said. “Because we got so many shoes, we are able to provide this opportunity to other youth-serving organizations here in Daviess County. This is an opportunity for them to extend the love to their clients as well.”

Bibb said the organizations can tell the Club the amount of shoes needed as well as the sizes. Some nonprofits have already stopped by to pick up shoes, and others are setting up times for later this week.

Bibb said any nonprofit interested in getting shoes for their clients can contact him at 270-685-4903 or [email protected].
