The City of Owensboro has announced its inaugural “12 Days of Christmas,” a series of holiday activities in downtown Owensboro which will run every weekend from Nov. 26 through Dec. 19.
Some activities will take place every weekend, such as the Energy on Ice outdoor skating rink at the Owensboro Convention Center. Other events will include the Hot Chocolate Hop and Holiday Stroll, as well as productions at the RiverPark Center, Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, and Convention Center.
The City of Owensboro will also be unveiling its new “Dancing Lights” interactive display at Smothers Park. Every 15 minutes, lights will dance to a different classic Christmas song.
“We are excited to be adding a variety of activities along the riverfront for the Christmas season,” said Tim Ross, Director of Events. “Having two anchor activities taking place each weekend night with the ice rink and Dancing Lights by the fountains in the park, it provides something for everyone during the holiday season as well as additional activities for people to enjoy before or after attending some of the performing arts shows downtown.” To see a complete listing of 12 Days of Christmas activities, click here.
