RVBH hosting youth art contest to promote mental health awareness

RiverValley Behavioral Health is hosting their 2nd Annual Youth Mental Health Art Contest. Students in grades K-College are invited to submit a visual art piece to promote mental health awareness and share a message of support to “Be Kind to Your Mind.” A $500 grand prize and certificate will be awarded to Project of the Year winners in each division

Types of entries can include drawing, painting, sculpture, poem, etc. Students in RVBH’s seven-county service area (Daviess, Henderson, Hancock, McLean, Union, Webster, and Ohio counties) are eligible to enter.

The contest will be divided into divisions of grades K-6, 7-12, and college students ages 18-24. 

A matching contribution will be awarded to the school or nonprofit organization selected by the winners.

The school/organization with the most entries will be deemed the Mental Health Partner of the Year, earning an award of $1,000.

Entries must include this application form, complete with signatures. Entries can be mailed or submitted in person at RiverValley Behavioral Health – Youth Art, 1100 Walnut Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.

The deadline to submit an entry is May 20.
