Tracy Naylor, who has served as Owensboro Health Foundation’s director since September 2019, has been named one of 51 participants from across the state representing a variety of public and private sectors in the Leadership Kentucky Class of 2022.

Naylor said it was a tremendous honor to be selected

“I have dreamed of participating in Leadership Kentucky for years, so I am so grateful for this opportunity,” she said. “As the only member of the class of 2022 from Owensboro-Daviess County, I view my participation as a responsibility to my community and Owensboro Health.  I intend to soak up all I can and bring the knowledge, insight, growth, and development and return home each month with something to give back. This is truly a one-of-a-kind program, and I am delighted to take part.”

Leadership Kentucky’s flagship program consists of seven 3-day sessions where participants gather to gain insight on the Commonwealth of Kentucky and its challenges and opportunities. Throughout the sessions, class members will meet with many of Kentucky’s current leaders and explore the state’s opportunities and resources.

“To me, this group of future friends and colleagues is the best and brightest from across our Commonwealth,” Naylor said. “I hope to hear new ideas, discover innovative ways of doing things, see new places, and gain new perspectives that might challenge my own and push me to grow in my own leadership. I hope my mind is blown open and that I will complete this journey forever changed.”

The Leadership Kentucky program, which runs June through December, will take the class across the state.

The sessions cover topics ranging from business and economic development, arts and tourism, natural resources and the environment, education, healthcare, diversity, and social issues, agriculture, and government.
