There are only a few days left for Owensboro residents to vote for a winner in the “Nicest Lawn in the Neighborhood” competition. One finalist was chosen from each Neighborhood Alliance, and a public vote is underway to determine who’s lawn reigns supreme.
Voting must be done on the Neighborhood Alliance Facebook Page here. The deadline to vote is June 27.
Pictures of the 10 finalists are featured on that Facebook Page (there were no entries submitted for the Northwest or the Southeast alliances). Each lawn has a number in the bottom right-hand corner of the photo. To vote, type in the corresponding number in the comments section.
The 12 finalists will be featured on the Owensboro Neighborhood Alliance Facebook Page, where they will compete for the grand prize.
The winner will be announced on July 5. Each of the finalists will receive a $100 gift card to Integrity Nursery & Outdoor Living, and the grand prize winner will receive a $500 gift card.
“The Owensboro Neighborhood Alliance Program is a partnership between citizens and city government that fosters citizen participation in community affairs,” Adrienne Carrico, Neighborhood Alliance coordinator, said previously. “The Neighborhood Alliances enhance the livability of our community by creating and maintaining an open line of communication between the alliances and city government.”
