Dog and cat owners whose pets are due for a rabies shot can get them this Thursday with no appointment necessary, as Daviess County Animal Care & Control is partnering with the Green River District Health Department for a rabies vaccine clinic.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Legion Park (3047 Legion Park Drive). The vaccine costs $10 and exact payment requested.

If the pet owner brings proof of a past rabies vaccine, their dog or cat can get a 3-year shot this Thursday. Otherwise, it’s good for only 1 year.

All dogs must be kept on a leash and cats in a crate.

For questions, call the shelter at 270-685-8275.
