Students from Brescia University and Kentucky Wesleyan College are teaming up for a lawn bazaar later this month. The Bresleyan Lawn Bazaar is a fundraiser for study abroad students at both Brescia and KWC.

BU student Mason Thompson said study abroad programs can be expensive for students, and this year’s trip is significantly more expensive than previous years because it’s in Australia and New Zealand.

“Our goal with the Bazaar is to help offset the cost for students,” she said. “We want them to be able to enjoy the study abroad trip with as little financial stress as possible.”

The Bresleyan Lawn Bazaar is 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 25 on the KWC front lawn, and the group is currently accepting donations. Contact Christina Starkey at [email protected] or Molly Gross at [email protected] for more information.

The Bazaar is a mixture of a rummage sale and an artisan and food market. Students will be selling items they have collected as donations from students, alumni, and the community. They’ll also have booths featuring products from local artisans, as well as some food trucks.

Open donation hours begin at noon Sept. 22 and run through the morning of the event. Donors can bring items to the Administration Building Room 103 at KWC.

So far, vendors include Confetti Boutique, Debbie Acton Wreaths, J’s Good Grub, Just Dee Dee Kindness Always, Sparkly Starkey Designs, Sweet Temptations by Victoria, The Cottage Farmstand, The Sleeping Sages, The Spot Coffee Bus, and Vintage Vibes Vinyl Records.
