Players will practice every Sunday and Wednesday or Thursday, depending on team assignment. Players show what they learn on Saturdays during scheduled matches. The season will end with a single-elimination tournament.

This year the Parks Department is partnering with Kentuckiana Skills Academy and Brescia University’s Volleyball team to lead the practices and coach the teams. All games and practices will take place at the Owensboro Parks & Recreation Administrative Center at 1530 McJohnson Avenue.

“In today’s society, sport is the number one way for kids to develop physically, emotionally and socially. This program will be a great opportunity to be introduced to the growing sport of volleyball,” said Steve Howard of Kentuckiana Skills Academy.
