Jill Castlen knows what it’s like to be a teen mom; she and her boyfriend Brandon became parents at 17 and had no money to support their daughter. Now, at 22, she is in a place where is able and wants to give back to others.

Castlen, who is a full-time content creator on TikTok with more 1.1 million followers, thought what better way to give back this Christmas than to ask for donations from her followers. In just three days, she collected more than 600 packages for local nonprofits to help other local mothers who may be struggling.

“Multiple nonprofits in Owensboro helped us get diapers, wipes, and so many other items for our baby,” she said. “I always wanted to give back and donate once we had established ourselves and now with social media as my full-time job I want to use it to help as many people as possible,” Castlen said.

Castlen also donated items, but knew she could make a bigger impact asking for help from others.

“I actually had to end the list today after only a few days because we have no more room in our garage,” she said. “We have gotten diaper rash cream, diapers, wipes, postpartum things for moms, Amazon gifts cards for moms, formula dispensers, pacis, clothes, socks, nail clippers, thermometers, and so much more.”

Along with dropping off the donations at several Owensboro organizations, Castlen has also made care packages and gave them out to some local moms that  have reached out about being in need.

Castlen said she was so excited and blessed to be able to use her platform to bless other mamas and encourages anyone who is able to help someone out during the holidays to do so.
