Registration remains open through Thursday for the spring/summer adult softball leagues hosted by the Owensboro Parks & Recreation Department. There are competitive and recreational leagues, with men’s and co-ed divisions for each league.
All games will be played at Kentucky Legend Fields at Jack C. Fisher Park. Co-ed games will take place on Wednesday evenings, with men’s games taking place on Thursday evenings. Makeup games could be scheduled on Tuesday evenings for either league.
The season will begin the week of April 10. There will be 10 regular season games followed by a single-elimination tournament. The winners of both the regular season and tournament will receive custom championship T-shirts.
Registrations and rosters must be submitted by March 23. The fee is $370 and includes registration, sanction, and umpire fees. A mandatory pre-season meeting will be held on April 3 at 6 p.m. at Kentucky Legend fields at Jack C. Fisher Park.
The minimum age to play is 16 years old, and anyone under the age of 18 must have parental consent.
