The Friends of the Daviess County Public Library is hosting their annual Spring Book Sale from March 11-19. Customers pay $5 per bag, and can then stuff the bags as full as they want with books, audiobooks, and more.

During the weeklong event, carts will be located near the Kentucky Room. New carts will be added daily or while supplies last — meaning some items may not be put out until later in the week. To kick off the book sale, Friends of DCPL will be giving away a door prize from 9-11 a.m. this Saturday.

All proceeds will go to Friends of DCPL. Those unable to participate in the sale but wanting to support the group can purchase an individual membership for $10, family membership for $20, or a book tote bag for $30.

“The Friends play a vital role in our ability to serve the community,” said Tiffani Henry, DCPL Public Relations Coordinator. “Often they help to provide funds that allow us to enhance the programs we host, and in some instances, without their help, we would not be able to host certain events or functions.”

Funds raised go toward sponsoring programs and special events hosted by the library.

DCPL is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
