The Kentucky Wesleyan College online bachelor’s degree program has earned the top ranking for a private institution in Kentucky by U.S. News & World Report for 2019. The superior recognition is based on these factors:
· Engagement (35 percent)
· Services and technologies (25 percent)
· Faculty credentials and training (20 percent)
· Expert opinion (20 percent)
“This recognition again exemplifies Kentucky Wesleyan’s long-standing commitment to excellence in all of our delivery methods,” said President Barton D. Darrell. “We are proud to offer the convenience of an online education with the personal attention that is given to all of our students at Kentucky Wesleyan College.”
The vast majority of students enrolled in these ranked programs have earned at least some college credit. Rather than first-time college students, they are more likely to be working professionals in their 20s to 40s who are seeking career advancement or a career change.
U.S. News chose measurements for comparison that weigh how online programs are delivered and their effectiveness in awarding affordable degrees in a reasonable amount of time.
“The excellent ranking is a tribute to the many individuals and departments who provide the same high quality of instruction, services and engagement in online programs that they provide in our campus-based programs,” said Dr. Rebecca Francis, director of adult and online education and associate dean of the college. “The ranking recognizes our strength, consistency and versatility in helping students fulfill their dreams of completing their bachelor’s degrees. This is truly The Wesleyan Way, and I am thrilled.”
