The Daviess County Public Schools district announced this week that 87 students have been recognized by the College Board for their exceptional achievements on the college-level AP exams.
Students take AP exams in May after completing challenging college-level courses at their high schools. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on the number of courses and exams.
Noah Owen, a 2020 graduate of Daviess County High School, has earned recognition as a National AP Scholar, an elite honor awarded to students in the U.S. who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.
The Scholar with Distinction Award was earned by 19 DCPS students. This award is given to students who earn an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of those exams.

- Daviess County High School 2020 graduates Ryan Beckwith, Ethan Easterday, Andrew Ellis, Frederik Mendoza-Ulken, Isaiah Montgomery, Noah Owen, Christopher Salamah, David Stevens, Christian Vincent and Houston Watson
- DCHS current seniors current seniors Chloe Jones, Daniel Martin, Benjamin Robinson and Emmylou Tidwell
- DCHS current juniors Kylie Strehl and Katherine Wahnsiedler.
AP Scholar with Honor Awards were presented to 17 DCPS students. This award is given to students who earn an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

A total of 21 DCPS students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP examinations, with grades of 3 or higher.
