A few dozen questions and concerns by families with students enrolled at Owensboro Public Schools were addressed Tuesday during a live Q&A session with Superintendent Matthew Constant and Public Information Officer Jared Revlett.

Constant provided as many details as he could for more than 40 questions, though he made it clear there is still much to be determined as the school year approaches.

Constant and Revlett addressed several topics, including but not limited to:

  • PPP for students and staff
  • Sanitization of the school between in-person classes
  • Moving from class to class with limited contact
  • Necessity of masks
  • Implementation of mask usage
  • Student schedules
  • Difference between Virtual Academy and distance learning
  • Keeping track of progress and standardized testing
  • Group projects
  • Student meals
  • Students enrolled in K-2
  • Gifted students
  • Students with special needs
  • Internet access

The full Q&A session is available to watch on the OPS Facebook page or YouTube channel.
