Kentucky Wesleyan College and Brescia University have both been named to multiple U.S. News & World Report lists for best colleges in various categories and regions.

KWC was ranking No. 18 on the Best Regional Colleges in the South list, also garnering a spot among the Top Performers on Social Mobility.

According to U.S. News rankings methodology, Regional Colleges focus on institutions that provide undergraduate education but grant fewer than 50% of their degrees in liberal arts disciplines. The Top Performers in Social Mobility indicator measures how well schools graduated students who received federal Pell Grants.

“Kentucky Wesleyan is elated to again be recognized as a top regional college by U.S. News & World Report,” said President Dr. Thomas Mitzel. “Our faculty, staff, students and extended community can take great pride in knowing their college is highly regarded by national outlets. These accolades and superior rankings are the result of a continued commitment to excellence by everyone affiliated with KWC.”

Brescia University ranked No. 12 on the Best Value Schools for Regional Colleges in the South list, and came it at No. 33 in the Best Regional Colleges in the South list.

The Best Value Schools list measures schools’ academic quality and the 2019-2020 net cost of attendance to determine the ranking.

“To be consistently recognized for Best Value in the regional colleges category by the U.S. News & World Report is demonstrative of the hard work and dedication our faculty and staff have for living the mission of our institution,” said Brescia University President Father Larry Hostetter. “This is an award Brescia University accepts with gratitude and pride when so many students are going into debilitating debt on their journey towards a college degree.”
