Apollo High School senior Caitlyn Blandford has been awarded a Heisman High School Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding academic and athletic achievements as well as letters of recommendation. As a school-level winner, Blandford will advance in competition for state and national honors.
Blandford is a six-year member of the AHS tennis team and a four-year member of the girls’ soccer team. She has also been a member of the Student Council for four years, currently serving as senior class vice president. Blandford is active in Future Business Leaders of America and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Future plans include studying architecture at the University of Louisville or the University of Kentucky.
Blandford is the daughter of Craig and Christie Blandford of Owensboro.
