Local school districts have announced their COVID-19 vaccination distribution plans for staff, with the doses being administered during two weekends each in February and March.
The state previously appointed Walmart to be the distributor strictly for K-12 educators in the community.
The first dose will be administered to staff from Owensboro Public Schools, Daviess County Public Schools and Owensboro Catholic Schools over a six-day period spanning two weekends in February. The second dose will be administered on the same days in March. That schedule is as follows:
- 1st Dose: Friday-Sunday, Feb. 5-7 and 12-14
- 2nd Dose: Friday-Sunday, March 5-7 and 12-14
Note: Owensboro Times is not including the time/locations of vaccines, as the clinics are open only to school employees and are not open to the general public.
Communication regarding sign-ups is being sent directly to staff.
