Families shouldn’t start making their plans quite yet, but the Daviess County and Owensboro public school boards are expected to vote this Thursday on their respective proposed academic calendars for the 2022-2023 school years.

The proposed calendars are nearly identical. Both are subject to change prior to each Board of Education’s meeting Thursday afternoon.

As it stands, both proposals include the following highlights:

August 9:  First day for students

October 9-13: Fall Break

November 22-24: Thanksgiving Break

December 18-January 2: Winter Break

April 1-5: Spring Break

May 20: Last day for students

The proposals include a handful of other dates when school would not be in session.

Once the proposals are approved, Owensboro Times will share the entire calendar for both school districts.
