School status for February 2: OPS, DCPS, OCS using NTI day; HCS, GCA to be in person

Local schools will remain closed to in-person learning again on Thursday. Owensboro and Daviess County public schools along with Owensboro Catholic Schools will use remote learning. Heritage Christian School and Grace Christian Academy plan to offer in-person instruction. OPS is also not in session Friday due to an already scheduled staff development day.

Owensboro Public Schools
Due to winter conditions resulting in slick spots in important areas for bus transportation and poor sidewalk conditions for walkers, Owensboro Public Schools will have a NTI day tomorrow, February 2, 2023. School is not in session on Friday, February 3 for a Staff Learning Day.

Daviess County Public Schools
Due to inclement weather, Daviess County Public Schools will implement DCPS@Home Day #3 tomorrow, February 2, 2023.

Owensboro Catholic Schools
Owensboro Catholic Schools will be closed Thursday, February 2nd. This will be an NTI day.

Heritage Christian School
We have kept a close watch on the condition of the parking lot at HCS and believe that we CAN have school tomorrow, Thursday 2/2. Please be sure to carefully drive around the school at drop-off and pick-up times. If you are not able to safely make it to school, please stay home and let your child’s teacher know.
We will double check the driveways in the morning and send notifications out by 6:45am.
PRE-SCHOOL–Plan to PICK UP child at BACK CARPORT DOORS.
KINDERGARTEN–Mrs. Quigg plans on having your 100 DAYS of school celebration TOMORROW!
If you can safely get to school, we’ll see you in the morning!

Grace Christian Academy
GCA will be in person as regularly scheduled.
