Empty Bowls of Owensboro is currently hosting a silent auction that will run through April 24, with proceeds going to the recipient of their annual soup fundraiser later this year. 

The auction is being held exclusively on the Empty Bowls Facebook Page. Most items have minimum bids beginning at $5. 

There are various handmade ceramic bowls filled with a variety of houseplants, as well as smaller ceramic bowls that could be used to hold jewelry, keys or other small items. 

Items can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on May 1 at the Brescia University Clay Studio, 105 W. 9th Street.

The Empty Bowls annual soup fundraiser, which raises money to assist organizations fight hunger, is currently being planned for October.
