The Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club Annual Charity Auction returns to its normal state this year and is slated to take place at Buffalo Wild Wings on Dec. 8. Sponsored by BWW and U.S. Bank, the in-person auction features a wide array of quality items.

Chief Executive Officer Steve Winkler said the pandemic had presented many challenges for the club but that he and his team remain steadfast in their efforts to inspire and empower young people. Proceeds from the event will assist with programming costs, financial aid, and the tools needed to return to a sense of normalcy.

“We are bringing back the same fantastic atmosphere and auction items that you have come to know and cherish,” Winkler said. “It has been a challenging year for kids, families, and the communities that rely on the Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club. But, when kids have Clubs and clubs have you, tough times can lead to great moments.”

The club provided over 3,500 bags of groceries to its member’s families to counter food insecurity during the pandemic. They also created “Operation Under Armour,” a plan that enabled them to distribute over 5,500 pairs of shoes to local youth, including school systems, other nonprofits, and all six of their locations.

Additionally, they provided “Learning Centers” for club members to give them access to virtual learning support, Chromebooks, and a safe environment with minimal distractions.

“Our staff is working vigorously every day to return to a sense of normalcy with our youth,” Winkler said. “We hope you consider rejoining us for one of our favorite events of the year.”

Winkler said the group’s mission is to inspire and empower young people by “offering meaningful opportunities that will enhance the quality of life for youth, especially those who need us the most to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.”

“Their next great moment can start with you through the help of your participation in our auction,” he said. “We expect a great turnout for this event, and we can’t wait to see you there.”
