With a record 288 members for 2022, Impact 100 will be giving away four grants totaling $255,000 that will be awarded to local nonprofits later this year. Impact 100 Next Generation will award an additional $9,200 grant.

The online application for the grants opens today (April 22) and will close on June 3. All local area nonprofits are welcome to apply here. For more information, visit impact100owensboro.org.

This marks the largest grant cycle in the chapter’s history (last year was slightly more at $256,500), and it’s also the second time they’re giving away four grants.

There will be two $100,000 grants, along with two residual $27,500 grants. Since their start 17 years ago, the women of Impact 100 have given grants totaling $3,884,700 to local nonprofits.

Members are asked to donate either $500 or $1,000 to join Impact 100.

“For many of our members, $1,000 or even $500 represents a sacrifice and intentional budgeting to make a charitable gift of this size, which is why we are continually blown away by the generosity of the women in our community,” said Jodi Krahwinkel, President of Impact 100 Owensboro.

Impact 100 NextGen is the philanthropy organization for teenage girls that is associated with Impact 100 Owensboro. Since being established in 2017, they have given $57,700 to the community. The young women donate $100 to the organization.

“I’m so proud of the impact these young ladies have made over the past 5 years, and we are so excited about this upcoming year, said Sarah Howard, NextGen Chair. “They are learning so much about our community, and the way that their time, treasure and talent can make a difference.”

Grant finalists will be announced later this year, followed by a ceremony to announce the winners.
