Local nonprofit Friends of Sinners is hosting a shoe drive for the first time, collecting new or gently used shoes to send overseas. Their goal is to collect 300 bags of shoes, with each bag containing 25 pairs of shoes.
All shoe types are accepted — men’s, women’s, kid’s, boots, sandals, etc.
FOS — a Christ-centered, substance-abuse recovery program — will receive $10 per bag, and the shoes will be sent to a ministry that ships them to 26 developing countries around the world.
The FOS men’s facility (320 Clay St.) and women’s facility (730 Triplett St.) will have drop box locations for donors to drop off shoes.
