Boulware Mission is collecting aluminum cans as part of their Giving Tuesday campaign this year from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 29. Cans will be accepted at the Independence Bank at 2425 Frederica Street.
“We have found recycling aluminum has been beneficial throughout the year, but we are going to amp it up on this Giving Tuesday,” Community Development Director Teresa Thomas said.
The money raised during Giving Tuesday will go toward the general funds for the nonprofit to help with the immediate needs of the items that are used daily.
If people are not able to get to Independence Bank, Boulware is available to schedule a pickup. They are open to accepting other forms of donations.
“We want to thank everyone in our community for giving and believing in Boulware Mission all year long,” Thomas said. “If you are unable to donate, we completely understand and ask that you keep our clients in your prayers during the Holiday Season.”
