St. Benedict’s Homeless Shelter is partnering with Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) – a leading provider of treatment and recovery services in the state – to host its annual Tables of Hope Fundraiser. The annual event provides clients of St. Benedict’s the opportunity to show their appreciation to those who support them and the organization’s mission.

The event begins at at 6 p.m. on April 29 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church Parish Hall.

The fundraisers allow table sponsors to decorate their own tables with tablecloths, dinnerware, and silverware, napkins, flowers, and more.

“We’ve seen sophisticated tables with simple, beautifully patterned china and flowers and some incredibly creative tables revolving around Thanksgiving, USA, or Christmas themes,” said Connie Hardison, Deputy Development Director for the shelter. “The fun doesn’t stop with the decorations, though; we also encourage guests to match their attire to the table’s theme to give it more expression.”

The event also features a large silent auction and food served by the men of St. Benedict’s.

This year’s event also features a guest speaker in Eddie Rapp from Evansville Rescue Mission’s Director of Operations.

ARC is currently renovating a former hotel and will open a men’s residential drug and alcohol treatment facility in Owensboro later this year. ARC’s nationally recognized “Crisis to Career” model is a four-phase, year-long program combining SUD treatment, primary care, counseling, peer support, life skills, education, and job training to set up clients for long-term success.

“We know the great work that goes on at St. Benedict’s and the hope they provide the homeless community,” said John Wilson, ARC’s Kentucky Market President. “This is just one small step for us to root ourselves in the Owensboro community. We plan to grow our relationships with community partners, individuals, and organizations in the coming months and years.”

Individual tickets are available for $40 each, with several table and corporate sponsorship opportunities. Click here for more information or to secure a sponsorship or table.

St. Benedict’s is a 501(c)3 nonprofit providing needed services to individuals in the community. The offerings include shelter, meals, showers, laundry, and case management. The shelter is one of the largest in western Kentucky and relies on donors and fundraisers for 90% of its funding.
