In its 32nd year, the Farm Festival at Lampkin Farm in Philpot welcomes families and tractor enthusiasts across the region for a two-day event with activities for young and old this weekend.

This year’s festival features Oliver and AGCO tractors, but all makes and models, restored or unrestored are welcome. Festival Chair Dennis Hutchison says the festival welcomes cars and trucks for the show.

Children will enjoy games, inflatables, a pedal tractor pull and haystack find. Owensboro Isotopes, a radio-controlled airplane group, will be flying planes and helicopters and the crowd favorite Candy Man plane, will be dropping candy from the sky.

Daviess County Beef Producers will be selling food along with additional food vendors on site.

Hutchison, a founding member of the festival, grew up on a dairy farm. He says the event is a way to relive some of his favorite childhood memories and enjoy the equipment he grew up using.

The event has been rained out the last few years, but Hutchison says attendance has been as high as 1,000 people in years past.

The 32nd Annual farm Festival is Oct. 6 – 7 at Lampkin Farm, located at 8284 Short Station Road in Philpot. Admission is $4.
