If you find yourself fearful, anxious, or depressed, Ron Garrett has something for you to consider.

God’s Grace and Mercy Tour, a free community event which will take place at Living Hope Church Saturday, September 22, 2018, is a day of uplifting praise and worship music and encouraging speakers designed to help people overcome feelings of fear, anxiety, and depression.

Garrett says this ministry is targeted to those in recovery and the homeless community, but everyone is invited. “I want everybody to come be a part of it because this message is something we all will be blessed by. These speakers are fantastic.”

God’s Grace and Mercy Tour launched in 2016 but was then called Empowerment Conference. Held in a different location each year, the event is free and open to the public.

This year’s speakers include nationally certified fitness professional, speaker, and author Theresa Rowe of Shaped by Faith; record-breaking powerlifter Julius Maddox; Roger Chilton, founder of Friends of Sinners and pastor of Matthew’s Table; and Pastor Andre Bradley, who will be giving an invitation. Worship leader Titus Chapman will be leading praise and worship music.

Garrett says the calling for this ministry came to him in prayer and he was clearly lead to teach people to overcome fear, anxiety, and depression in a conference setting. His vision for this event is to expand beyond Owensboro and reach the world.

“God has blessed me and blessed this ministry. When we’re obedient to what the Lord calls us to do, then our lives are open to peace, joy, and love. That’s what this is all about. Last year at this event we had 17 people accept Christ and twice as many rededications. God is on the move in Owensboro,” he said.

Living Hope Church, located at 1709 Alexander Avenue in Owensboro, will host God’s Grace and Mercy Tour on Saturday, September 22, 2018. The event begins and 9 a.m. and ends with a free lunch at 1 p.m.
