Naturopathic Doctor Pamela Legate

For over twenty years, Dr. Pamela Legate has been a Naturopathic Doctor, and people from around the world have sought her for teaching and counseling in natural health principles.

Legate’s daughter was born with parts of her immune system missing at birth. While her daughter was in the hospital being treated with traditional methods, Legate began to study old medicine books passed down from her great-grandmother. Legate began practicing some of the remedies from these books on her daughter and it sparked interest for Legate to study homeopathic medicine.

Legate received her degree as a Naturopathic Doctor in the early ‘90s and believes in providing wellness that meets the needs of the whole person: body, soul and spirit.

“The baby-boomer generation desires to be active; they want to play golf, be able to walk, swim, garden and do more without pain, and they want to be able to do it well,” said Legate.

Specializing in a variety of treatment, Legate’s techniques include patient education on lifestyle changes and self-care to promote wellness. Nutrition, exercise, spiritual counseling, as well as alternative therapies such as massage, are among other holistic methods Legate provides. Legate’s certifications include being a national board licensed massage therapist, a certified Pilates instructor and an Accutonics practitioner.

Legate has clients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, seeking alternative treatment for life-threatening conditions or wellness education and a desire to live better.

One client came to Legate while also seeing a pediatric gastroenterologist because medical treatment was not helping. The gastroenterologist suggested the patient continue to work with Legate using alternative medicine, counseling and elimination of dietary elements. Six months later, the client was healed.

Legate is also the author of “Blessing your Body, a 22-day Devotional Journey with God.” The book has received praise from Gaye Rogers the Apostolic Director of Word and Spirit Ministry Center for Kingdom Development, Vision Keeper of Healing House and administrator of Kentucky Awakening. The book is available through online retailers such as Amazon.

Those interested in learning more about holistic services do not require a medical doctor’s referral to schedule an appointment at the office of Massage and Wellness of Dr. Pam Legate.
