Most people love waking up to the smell of coffee in the morning. The Crème Coffee House has made that option a little easier. Not only does the coffee house offer award-winning coffee and delicious sweets and eats, it also boasts a spacious upstairs condo that allows visitors to escape and immerse themselves in the heart of downtown Owensboro.

This eclectic flat presents a cozy loft space with exposed high ceiling beams, authentic brick walls and hardwood floors. The common area is open and spacious, with a full kitchen and contemporary diner-style booth seating. The all-access upstairs condo is listed on Airbnb as a two bedroom, one and a half bath that sleeps eight, at the competitive rate of $199 a night.

The Crème Coffee House Condo provides its guests with a more personal and economical travel experience than a mainstream hotel stay, and is located just steps away from Smother’s Park, the Riverpark Center, the Owensboro Convention Center, restaurants, nightlife and boutique shopping.

General Manager, Ashley Vanover, has been with The Crème for the last ten years and has worked for each of the previous owners. Vanover, who has put in countless hours to help renovate and manage the loft property says, “There’s a big difference between staying in a hotel and being somewhere and feeling like you live there.”

With the addition of a screened in balcony that opens to the courtyard, Vanover says you can sit outside on evenings that the coffee house features live music and feel “like you have your own personal live band…without having to fight the bugs.”

The Crème owner, Adam Patterson, purchased the coffee house in November 2017, and the additional condo property this past April. In May, while the space was still being renovated, Patterson posted the listing on Airbnb “just to see what it would do.” The response was overwhelmingly positive, with the first bookings coming in just two days of being posted online.

Patterson says the eclectic loft-style condo has “been bringing people in from all over,” including Indiana, Tennessee, and North Carolina. He says one of the biggest draws for out of town travelers is that “you can come to Owensboro and you don’t even need a car.”

The Crème condo is not just a great location for families. Vanover says, it is also a great option for companies that are trying to hire out of town candidates, as “it makes them feel like they’re part of the community already.”

The 1,800-square-foot space is not just for overnight stays, but can also be rented for business meetings and events, where The Crème offers fully catered meals.

If you are interested in booking this location for your event, or for an overnight stay, you can view more on their website or call 270-683-RSVP.

According to their website, “A‌i‌r‌b‌n‌b‌, ‌I‌n‌c‌.‌ is a company based in San Francisco that operates an online marketplace and hospitality service for people to lease or rent short-term lodging.”

Bringing in over $2.6 billion last year, Airbnb has been touted as “the world’s biggest accommodation-sharing site.”

There are currently ten Airbnb listings in Owensboro, offering a wide variety of accommodations from small quaint cottages and bungalows, to historic farmhouses and riverfront homes. Visit the Airbnb website to view more Owensboro Airbnb listings.
