The Daviess County Public Schools Board of Education voted in approval of Ranney’s designs and after the vote, Ranney said the documents are ready to send off and get the project going.

Ranney believes it will take two weeks to have the designs reviewed by the state, after which he hopes advertising for the project can begin on September 2. Bids would be sent out for the project on September 25-27 and Ranney would meet back with DCPS on October 4 to move forward.

DCPS also approved a vote of the BG-3 form, which offers a statement of probable cost for the project. After revising the design along the way, Ranney says the changes made don’t reflect any additional costs at this time.
