Frost advisory in effect during early morning hours Monday

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah has issued a frost advisory, which is in effect from 1 – 9 a.m. (CDT) Monday.

The lowest temperatures tonight are forecast to be in the lower to middle 30s.

Scattered to widespread frost is expected to develop overnight and last through early Monday morning.

A frost advisory means that widespread frost is expected. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. Young blooms and early season vegetation may be damaged or killed if protective measures are not taken.

Bring outdoor plants indoors or cover them with some type of protective layer.

The target areas for this advisory are Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Daviess, Henderson, Hopkins, Lyon, McLean, Muhlenberg, Todd, Trigg, Union and Webster Counties.
