DEVELOPING: According to the Owensboro Police Department, most of south Frederica Street is without power. According to the police scanner, a vehicle hit a power box in the Home Depot parking lot. Everything south of Ritzy’s is without power including traffic lights.
According to the Kenergy outage map, 117 members are without power in the south Frederica area.
Leslie Neeley, communications and public relations specialist for Kenergy, said crews are out working in the area and should have most of the power restored to Frederica Street by 9:30 p.m. The mall area will take longer to turn on.
